Small JPEG image (8.9 MB) – Best for viewing the map in a browser.

Large JPEG image (37.8 MB) – For printing on a large-format plotter. The map is designed to print either 36- or 42-inches wide, including a 1.5-inch wide white margin on all sides. Semi-gloss paper produces the best results. Mounting and framing is up to you.

Adobe Illustrator CC (307 MB)For cartographic production. The Illustrator file contains editable map layers and MAPublisher 10.0 georeferencing. High-resolution Adobe Photoshop terrain art is included with the download.

GeoTIF (195 MB)For cartographic and GIS production. Raster terrain art showing only mountains, lakes, rivers, and wetlands—no map type and cultural information. Hint: use this file to make great desktop pictures.

These maps are in the public domain and are not copyrighted. You may use them any way you like. They derive from public domain data sources, including the US Geological Survey and New York State, Adirondack Park Agency.

If you modify the maps in any way, please remove my name from the maps—they are now entirely yours. Publishers and authors: do not contact me asking for permission to use the maps. You have my written permission right here.
